Does anybody know what the highest grade you can get in the exam is if you get a high B in your course work but high A*s in the reading, speaking and listening. Can you still get an A*, or only an A, or does the CW drag you down to a B?
Well, each of the 4 areas is worth 25%, so 75% at high A* and 25% at high B should let you scrape an A*, but it should definitely be high enough for an A. Your teacher should be able to give you an exact answer.
Thanks, I'l try and find my teacher to check. I'm hoping to scrape an A* (crosses fingers)
Bonne chance The good thing about GCSEs is that you don't find out your actual marks for most subjects, so you never know whether you just scraped an A* or got nearly full marks, and nobody else does either!
