Why do we feel love?

All it does is make us feel bad. When we are in love, we pine for the person when we aren't with them. We get all love sick and all the usual butterflies in the belly and stuff. If you love someone you can't have it feels awful and if you love someone and then get dumped by said someone you feel like crap. So why do we have this feeling when it puts us through so much torture?

Because when you are together with the person you love you feel wonderful and all of the pining when you are apart pales into insignificance.

Don't worry. There's no need for love. Most people who get married aren't in love anyway. So just go find a rich guy and get married!

Well from a program I saw its got something to do with the prefrontal lobe in the brain. One person had car crash and damaged a very small part of his prefrontal lobe and he could no longer experience love. He's never "loved" his wife and son since the accident but just enjoys their company. Well, you asked.... :biggrin:
