i would say above 34
above or equal to 5 will be a good grade.
well it actually depends which subjects you take
if you take language b 6 would be better.
I would consider 38+ good.

Depends on what your offers are really. The average at my school was 39.8 last year and my offer from my firm is 40, so I guess that's what I'd consider "good".
34+ is respectable
It completely depends on your package. If your taking HL Math, Physics and Chemisty your gonna have a way tougher time than someone taking HL Bio, French A1, Drama. Theres really no comparing.

The IB publishes a yearly report on how well people did, the averages and such. Might want to take a look at it, you can see how scores were distributed and such.

You should know that last yr's IB's average is 30 points meaning getting 34 is well above average.
Reply 7
i still reckon its 38+

34/5. I know that I will struggle to get this though but I would definetly say that that is good.
5/6 in each subject can't be argued with.
36+ decent
38+ good
42+ very good

just an opinion...
I think that anyhthing between 28-34 is decent(you can get into a pre-med course in america for 27 so...) and above that it really good. I'm personally aiming for above 40 :yep: It also depends on what you want to do and were you want to go that determines a good score. From experience I'd say that in these subjects for anyone whos taking them is a good score...imo anyway

Chemistry HL-5/6
Biology HL-6/7
Psychology HL-6/7
German ab initio-6/7
english-5/6/7
math studies-7

I feel 36 plus is a good score but with atleast 6 in the HL subjects and year a 6 or even a 7 in language 2 if it is at AB- Initio level
Reply 12
i still think A level is better anyhow than the IB
36 with 6's in higher level imo.

IMO 34-36+ is good, 38+ is very good, 42+ is amazing.

It really all depends though. I know some people who'd be thrilled to get 28 points, and some who'd cry themselves to sleep if they got 43 points.

No, you don't.
40+ for me. Any lower and I will be quite sad.

No, you don't.

 I'm not quite sure what you mean...

My school's pretty variable in terms of results - in the past few years we've had a whole bunch of people who got 40+, as well as quite a few failures. Some of the 40+ people are vicious perfectionists, and 28 points is a real struggle for many of the latter group, hence my comment above.

On terms of a personal level, I would be absolutely ecstatic to get 34 points. So yes, I guess for me, I would consider 34 + to be a good score.

How does that even remotely answer the question?
