Hindi GCSE?

I've been encouraged today to look further into studying a Hindi GCSE, I'm pretty much fluent because my parents speak it, so my school said they'd sit me for an exam if I wished. They told me to research and get back to them with it.

I've read several times that it IS available, however I can't find an exam board, and hardly any information.

Could anyone help point me in the right direction :biggrin:

there is Hindi subject as one of the options for people planning to write GCSE and most schools will register if a student is interested .... :smile:

i had a look on the AQA, OCR, Edex, CCEA, WJEC + City&Guilds websites and Hindi isn't mentioned whatsoever, sorry.

As far as I am aware, there is no GCSE in Hindu. For clarification, try contacting JCQ.

if you wouldnt mind doing IGCSE, i know that cambridge does an IGCSE in hindi as a second language.

One of my fiends did Gujarati at GCSE, but i'm not sure what exam board she was on. I think it's possible but as said above you might have to take it as an IGCSE
