I know it is a random time to be asking about results day as no GCSEs have been taken yet, and it isn't until August, but I just wondered what it is like. I know I will be so nervous on results day, and on one hand will want to open the envelope but on the other I'll not want to. Ao, what have your experiences been?
The thing is though, we haven't even finished the Music syllabus, haven't done 1 piece of coursework and all 3 recordings, and basically are left to our own devices. Goodness knows how I am going to get an A*!
When is your music exam?
I'm sure you will get them done. Most coursework deadlines are sometime in May.
Erm, no, we have had 1 terminal task in the mock, and we haven't even received the results to that, and our mocks were in November. We have not done one since.
I remember the results day. I somehow reasoned with myself what I would get till I lost all nerves. I was only nervous when I had read my results if that makes sense. I was late to pick them up and the teachers were all grinning at me so I knew I had done well. Good times.
So, the teachers know before you do? Well done on the good results
Yup they do. They are printed off before the official results they. During the date before results day, they recieve our statement of results and organise them to be given out the next day. In addition, some teachers will be on duty handing them out to stduents.
Oh right! That could be interesting...but some of my teachers know how stressed I get, so hopefully they can calm me down, and if they know I have done well, and they say so then it will make me calmer.

Yup.
When I got my AS results last year, I went later so not much people would ask me what I got. Ther weren't much teachers around that they (about 5?). I was shaking a bit, and they said don't be nervous. When I got them, I predicted the right grades (good and bad ones ).
I will probably end up going as early as possible or as late as possible. Hopefully I'll get my results, then kind of hide from the rest of my year going "Whatya get?!"!!
Yes, I'll either go back home and celebrate by eating chocolate or drown my sorrows by munching lots of chocolate!!!!
lol. I would go back home and call many uni's if my grades are not good, hoping that they would accept me. If everything is fine, I'll just relax, celebrate and enjoy my gap year.
Hehe! Well this summer holiday is going to be awesome, I am going on tour with a band and I am hopefully going to see a friend, whom I haven't seen since last April.
Wind band, to Germany. What are you doing on your gap year?
Cool, I use to be in a wind band. what music are you playing?
I will be finding a job and doing it to earn some money. Besides that I will, learn to drive and relax. The money earned will go towards the laptop and uni.
Don't know what Music we will be playing, but I imagine the majority of the band I am with are Grade 8 it is going to be hard, so I hope I get it plenty of time in advance.
I can't imagine driving. I'd be very scared, so I'll be one of the people going at 20 mph down the motorway!

Woah, grade 8 music is hard. I only played up to level 4 or 5. You're really talented.
What genres of music do you play (classical, popular, jazz, big band, broadway, etc...)? In addition, have you heard of a music company called hal-leonard? http://www.halleonard.com/
