I really don't want them to know! I remember when I did my grade 1 trumpet, I got a distinction and all the teachers knew before me! The music teacher had told one of the french teacher, and that's all she talked about all day. Even my friends knew!

Hmm...this is going to be very surreal!!

I still can't belive it's going to be me in that hall picking up my results this year. I've gone with brothers and sisters and friends. This time its my turn!

Well, every year in the regional paper are people from our school (for some reason) and it is going to be people from my year this year!

Last year (Aug 2004) was when i had to go and collect my results. I remember arriving and my Science Teacher saying "Well done on the result", so i got into the hall and collected my envelope and read my results. Now i can see why i said to myself, i had got AA for Science. So they do know before you! Overall the day was good, and i was nervous to begin with.

I have just realised, my brother is doing some of his GCSEs 2 years early, and we would have to go to 2 different schools to collect them, that is going to be so nerve wracking if we go to his, and he gets his, especially if some of the teachers ask how I have done!

Does anyone know when the big day actually is? Thursday 25th or Friday 26th?
Reply 87
It's usually on a Thursday.

Thursday 25th, although when people in our year got confirmation of the day, some peoples' said Friday 25th or Thursday 26th!!

Ahh right, i'm glad. I like Thursdays. Not sure why.

Well if you wanted to celebrate, a Thursday night would be less busy than a Friday.

And if I fail, it would be easier to find an empty canal to jump into

Bla, I suppose the mocks weren't too awful, sans maths. How were yours?

I did well in mine, that is the problem, got to match them now!! I got about 1/2 and 1/2 A*s and As and a B for Maths, but I knew I'd messed up in that exam.

Mine were mostly A*s and the odd A  , maths was very bad though

I can't remember fully what I got, but I was really pleased with my results, and I am predicted mostly A*s (although I want all A*s). I hated my Maths mock, ergh, I really did! Everybody was like 'Oh it was easy', and I was like in my head 'Oh dear'. When we got the results back, our teacher went mad at us because only 1 person in the class got A*, and that is what we are predicted :-\

Oh wow, go you! They are fab grades. If you are doing the higher or intermediate paper, then I recommend the Collins Total Revision and Collins Exam Practice guides, I had a CGP book, and read it, but then if I'd gone wrong, I wouldn't know why, but these show you lots of example questions, give you tips, hints, and I just find them so much easier to work with.
