How is your revision coming along?

I know there are a billion threads like this but hey, what's another one? (I like talking about revision rather than actually doing it. :-p)

I've decided to revise for at least fifty hours during my Easter holidays (sixteen days). I'm not sure whether this is not enough, too much or just right but I'm going to see how it goes. I'm about 7% of the way to my target! *g* I like having something to aim for.

How much revision do you intend to do this Easter?

What are your tips and tricks?

Are you starting with your worst subjects or your best?

Hope everyone's having fun and relaxing too.

How old r u? 4 GCSE's i did no revision, 4 A/S im doing no revision at least not in Easter. Year 9 i don't think i even knew there were exams going on. But it all depends on your own personal level, i like to cram in some reading 4 subects like biolgy and chemistry, but prefer the pratice questions 4 maths and physics. I think u have to decide what kind of reviser u are and if you can actually stand revising 4 50 hours, i know i couldn't

Oh and start with worst and then finish with worse it keeps it fresh alot of people go on about little bits of revision, but i wouldn't really know.

My Easter holidays are almost over (back to college on Monday!) and I have done a total of about 3 hours of revision al the way through them! Oh well, still got 2 months+ until exams start. As for what subjects I am planning to do first, I have the most to revise for Physics and Biology because I didn't do those exams in Jan. I will be saving maths till last because I only have C2 and D1 (which IMO is ridiculously easy) to do in June and the best way of revising Maths is to do past papers which doesn't take that long.

Good luck!

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realise I was in the GCSE section lol! Just disreagrd everything I said!
i ment to start, i tried to start, i read one story for english
and failed miserably.
i just cant do it its the holidays maybe next week
lol i cant revise either im putting it off til next week too!how do some people manage it??????

Mine is going well thanks. I think I have done about 20 hours of revision, but I am not revising until we go back to school on Monday as I think I deserve a rest

I'm still trying to get through my coursework. Really should have done it earlier.

I am going to have a mass of Music coursework, but that is only because the teacher hasn't told us about it yet! We haven't even covered 1/2 the syllabus!
Reply 13
Our music coursework was supposed to be handed in before half term, but only half the class has done it yet and our music teacher is going nuts!
Reply 14
Our teacher is VERY laidback. I have finished both compositions, but probably the majority of the class hasn't started their second.

We havent finished our music coursework either! Music is just a doss, even the teachers doss about. Wish i'd never taken it though. I got a D in mi mocks cos i never practised any pieces and i never finished the coursework. And the stuff on the syllabus is so boring. SERIALISM, MINIMALISM! its all crazy. What ever happened to narmal sane music?

BTW ive tried to do som rev but cant get motivated

Well, I don't know what I got on the mock overall because we haven't had all the grades back yet (we did it in Nov), I managed an A on the Listening Test miraculously, when we hadn't covered Minimalism, Serialism, Bhangra, Pavan and Galliard. Now, in March, we still haven't done Serialism, or Bhangra or Pavan and Galliard. I do like Music, as the subject but she keeps saying how she wants us to beat last year's number of people getting A*-C, it would help if she taught us!

Tell me about it! I've got about a week left and I don't know how I'm going to a) relax, b) revise and c) (it's a pity this doesn't begin with a R) go out and have fun. I think it's time I start thinking about prioritising!
