I was going through the Msc. Biomedical Engineering curriculum and was trying to find out if it was accredited by any organization but I don't think it is. Does having an unaccredited Msc. affect anything related to my career? As in people tell me that if my degree is unaccredited, it's practically useless
No it isn't. Many degrees aren't accredited but are recognised by learned institutions. Accreditation is a formal process of assessment of a course which may impose certain restrictions on the content of that course. Therefore certain courses may not have it because it is not offered in their area or because it requires certain restrictions that the course leaders do not feel are appropriate for the course they are trying to deliver.
The accreditation is usually if you want to work within the NHS or industrial scetor (I thikn), so the lack of accreditation will make theis much more difficult; however if you want to do graduate research, another degree, or a city/another job then it will be perfectly fine

Not necessarily, just be sure to get a 2;i or a 1st, possibly some work experience, provided you are careful where you apply you should be fine; its just some companies prefer the accredited course as it has set modules and they will know what you have be taught - you will be fine
Aren't accredited degrees generally for professional qualifications i.e. Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing etc
Medical Engineering is a professional qualification and sciences generally need to be accredited, To work in the NHS or a research company you need it to be accredited otherwise it can be useless. Like having a B.A in Biology.

Have you emailed the course administator?
Hmm.. you have a point there. what do i email the course administrator about though?

I'm sorry, this simply isn't true. Like I said accreditation is different to recognition.

Wait, do you mean only Bachelor of Arts Biology is useless or Bachelor of Science as well?
I'm asking because Biology is what I'm thinking of doing.
I don't know exactly. The degree I currently hold is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering & Technology , USA. I do not know what accrediting bodies operate in the UK

Sorry if this is a stupid/obvious question.
I'm interested too now cause i'm doing BSc Biology and Chemistry. Plus, i doubt you can get a BA in Biology cause it blatantly doesn't class as an arts degree.
