Pain/Ache in right side of head when drinking cold drinks

Hi,

For the last couple of days ive noticed that every time i even take a sip of cool water or drink (or eat something cold) i get this weard pain at the right side of my head which goes away as soon as i swallow the water.

It's not brain freeze becouse i know thats a different feeling. This happens when the water reaches the right side of my mouth, so if i try to from the left side im fine.

Is this serious?

hmm. i have a small ulcer on my lip so don't think thats related

The pain arises on the right side of the head in the middle slightly towards the back very but only when the water reaches right area of mouth .

lol at the no teeth bit.. tooth pain doesnt always occur right were the teeth are, the roots in your gums could maybe be infected, or maybe it could even be a ear infection.. is the pain nearer your ears than your jaw? its diffucult to say cos i aint a doctor or dentist lol..

I had teeth gums inflammation and my tooth didn't hurt but when I drank something cold, it was painful. Just go to your GP and see what they will say.
Spheno Palatine Gangleoneuralgia are terms used to describe a form of cranial pain or headache in which people experience after consuming cold beverages.
