Healthy food ideas

I am always eating, usually too much chocolate, but I seem to have the same thing for lunch all the time (sandwiches of some description). I like pasta, but sometimes cannot be bothered to spend a long time making lunch.
I eat when I am bored, or when I am not even hungry. I am not overweight, I am probably slightly underweight for my height (5'3, 7 stone), but I need to stop eating at every opportunity. So any ideas for filling lunch and breakfast ideas, and things I can eat as snacks. I don't like fruit (because when I was a baby all I would eat was fruit, and now I can't stand it), although have just eaten it for Lent. I can just about eat an apple. All ideas appreciated. (Especially ones which I can take to school).

buy lots of carrots and eat those, they're good for you and cos they're hard it's makes you work at eating them,

Cereal is always good to munch on, as long as you get one that isn't too high in sugar etc
Very plain crackers can go with low fat cheese...
any light yoghurt is good to snack on

if you dont want healthy options there are far more to choose from

I have tried porridge for breakfast, but the stuff we have is really thick and you need about a litre of milk to make it funnier, also sometimes it doesn't stop me being hungry. I don't generally have cereal bars because I was comparing recently, and some have the same amount of fat and more sugar than a chocolate bar. I'll try eating more nuts, I don't think I could stand some dried fruit.

Thanks for your ideas though!

I really will have to like fruit. Ergh. It was the only thing I'd eat when I was a baby and as I was born weighing 2lb, I needed to put on weight!!! Do you have any recipes for those cereal bars?

Awww thankyou, that is very kind of you. I love your Tarepanda avatar by the way

Wow thankyou! I will check out those websites. I eat quite a lot from that food list, apart from fruit I like most things. Thankyou again

I like the way they describe the sandwiches, lol: "open face or closed, cut in quarters, squares, triangles, strips, rounds"

Dark Chocolate

Lol, and it isn't a Maths lesson either! ("Now, get your protractors and measure a 90 degree angle. This will ensure you get the perfect sandwich!!!")

Oh, I have been watching that series, and I have got some good ideas. I did try cooking the chick pea burgers, they were nice.

for example, you can substitute crisps for cornflakes...

and above all, eat proper breakfast - then you should be able to eat less during the day

I always eat breakfast, I couldn't make it to 10 o clock without it! Sometimes I eat porridge, but usually I eat Nesquik or Weetabix.

I really can't stand fruit. This is part of the problem, I feel sick eating it! I'll try water + porridge tomorrow morning. We have bran flakes too, so maybe have those the day after. I drink skimmed milk, I can't stand the full fat stuff, but I don't like it that much. I might try soya milk, thanks!

Ok, thanks, I don't generally have extra sugar in things! But I'll try it tomorrow, and see how long it is before I get hungry again.

Just to let you know, that I am eating porridge (oats and water) with a drizzle of golden syrup (we didn't have honey) and I quite like it!

Oh dear, it wouldn't work for me either then! Why does hayfever always get in the way?!

Habosh - Carrots and lemon juice, sounds interesting, I'll have to try it. Don't worry, I am not going to stop eating snacks, I couldn't do that! Did you get my last PM? Are you feeling happier?
