Wouldn't know... I got 95.75% so I easily beat whatever borderline they asked of me...

It's 90% UMS ie they take the countries results for the papers sat (higher tier only for B, A and A*) they set the number of people who they want to get A*, work out their score on the paper then scale those to fit the 150 mark UMS scale. Similar calculations are done for all other grades. It's norm referencing in a disguised form.

For Modular Edexcel the grade boundries were about 23% C, 44%B, 63%A, 83% A*

When I did Edexcel Maths in 2000 it was 190/250 [76%] for an A*, 135/250 [54%] for an A.

I got 249/250...went completely downhill from there though, D in Edexcel P2 the next yr.
