Lewis Hamilton was a bully.

First of all I have no sources or proof, other than knowing the person he bullied. I am actually convincing her to go to the media, and rid of the misconception people hold of Hamilton's teenage years. Lewis bullied a woman I know back when they were in secondary school. It was a school in Stevenage or something. She had to change schools because of that. And to be honest, I was quite suprised by this at first but after some thinking I realised it could have been logically possible.

In what way did he bully her? I'm intrigued. I hold Hamilton in the same regard as all other great sportsmen. In other words, he's bound to be ruthless to the core.

errrr so? He's the best F1 driver in the world. Get over yourself, who gives a **** if he took the piss out of your friend

Yeah, so what he bullied someone, lots of people get bullied. You don't get to the top of your game (whatever the field) by being a pushover, that's just simple. If she goes to the media she'll just get slated for trying to make some money off of something she can't really prove

I pretty sure most people have bullied/been bullied at school.

So what?

This. It's not going to matter anyway, it's not like his position in society is reliant on public support - he got to where he is because of his talent, not because of what people 'think'. Any damage your friend manages to do to his public image would soon be forgotten.
so, who cares. everyone bullies people in some form

You assume people would care.

Sell it to a tabloid paper tbh and your friend can get some easy cash.
I wouldn't care less, people change.
So what? We bully Wollsmoth but who gives a ****?

People make mistakes. I've bullied/been bullied and I would hope that the people I treated badly when I was 13 would see that I had changed if I ever became famous, and they wouldn't go the media with an exposé on me.

Notwithstanding the rightness or wrongness of going to the media, you have to consider 2 practicalities: how likely is it that they want to publish an 'expose' on someone that they rather like atm, and will they be willing to risk a potential libel suit for what to them are largely unfounded claims by a potentially raving jealous person?
I find it amusing what with all the Jade Goody threads, with countless people labelling her a "bully" and a large number of people agreeing and condemning her. But Lewis Hamilton is labelled a bully and suddenly nobody cares.

You're comparing someone who became famous partly by being racist to the best driver in the world who was nasty to someone at school...mkay.

+1

Who cares if he did stupid things when he was young. Kids are idiots, get over it.

I love your sig  /random

OP: The key word in your title is was. If he is a bully now then I think it'd be more worrying. Like someone else said she could probably get easy cash for selling her story but it's unlikely to escalate into anything.
