I can't stop going red - PLEASE help!! :'(

Ok so basically whenever i'm at college talking with friends / tutors I have this tendency to blush. It's mainly when i know someone is looking at me (not staring, just generally making eye contact or observing me) and i dont mean blushing like 'aww thats so cute' i mean going RED. My whole face burns up and my neck goes red too.

I know some people will just think 'just get over it' but its not that easy when everyday your friends are saying 'OMG WHY ARE U SO RED?!?!' 'OMG DO U WANT A MIRROR!' and 'OMG ITS GOING MORE RED!!' (which in turn makes me feel even worse and go more red)

This hasnt always happened to be its just been recently but i dont know why. I dont necessarily feel nervous or whatever (until someone goes 'OMG LOOK HOW RED YOU ARE!') it just happens. I'm usually a confident, outgoing person but this is affecting my life and im starting to avoid hanging out with my friends / social situations cos im scared this wil happen again.

If anyone can give me ANY advice at all or knows anyone with experience with this i would be eternally grateful, its really getting me down :frown:
Thanks

I'm exactly the same. It can be someone just saying my name. Then like you're going red. Then it'll get worse and i'll be bright red and my neck will be. I have no idea how to stop it and i've had it for years, i know when it's sort of coming so tend to make my excuses and go outside or just hide in my jumper. It's so embarrassing but i've just sort of accepted that that's that really :/ .

I sometimes go red.. and to be honest worrying about it is going to solve nothing but make the problem worse.

Just be uncaring.. its not really a problem unless you make it affect your life.

It happens me all the time. I start to go red, then someone comments and I go redder- I can feel my face burning up. But I'm afraid you just have to live with it. If you try not thinking about it, it's not as bad I find. But I've just accepted it as part of my character- I go red when people talk to me.

My ears go red for no reason. Like lobster red. It's really strange and annoying.

haha i cant go red !!!
This happens 2me all the time but is also affected by eating certain things or if I have a headache coming on! I can't offer much advice as I dont no how to stop it either but ur not alone i hate it. Sometimes i wet some tissue or get a cold wet facecloth and put it on to my chest and neck to helping the redness go down quicker. but apart from that I just have 2 make a joke of it wen ppl at work point it out worriedly i just say, its nothing 2worry bout its just me and happens all the time now people dont ask they just no

Yeah i know it's just that stuff like this tends to come on in your teenage years first...its all a bit of a shock and when you least need it.

It's probably more of a phsycological thing than anything else. Now that it has happened a couple of times, you anticipate it and its the embarressment of going red that makes you go red in the first place. You just need to keep telling yourself that your being stupid and that there is nothing to be embarressed about and that your not going to go red. I know this sounds simple and stupid but i have had similar issues with other things (not going red, but the phsycology aspect) and once you start to tell yourself this, it really helps.

I've worn it to cover redness (e.g. from spots), but never tried it for blushing. Just covering redness worked very well for me, apparently it neutralises the red. I hear Princess Diana wore it on her wedding day though!
i have the exact same thing. its really starting to get to me. i cant even eat dinner infront of my own family without going so red!
i used to be really condfident and love meeting new people.
its usually worse when im in situations like going out for lunch with friends or just sitting talking to someone.
it started when i started college but it wasnt that bad until i finished and now its just got worse and worse. nothing seems to work.
im kinda scared to start work as i know its going to be bad and really get me down.
and just like everyone with this problem it just gets worse when you think about it and makes you go redder. a catch 22 problem.
i just want to be back to how i was before.

if anyone finds out anything that can help. please post it here.
Guys i have a short term cure. You have to try and go as red as possible. I know this seems stupid but it does actually work sometimes. Think of it like a game, you have to go as red as possible.
