ive herd AA is like really bad i.e stretch out lessons for more revenue etc. too bad i booked 15 lessons , my 1st is on tuesday @ night :O. pretty scary considering ive never touched a car in my lyfe
Mine was ok. Tbh I can't remember too much about it because I was so nervous. I spent the first lesson in an industrial estate though getting used to everything so there wasn't much that could go wrong!
After a while, it becomes second nature to you. I've had 16 hours, and covered everything (although I did have a bit of experience before). Got my test booked, for just over 3 weeks away!
For your theory - REVISE. Get a CD, learn everything, then do at least 30 papers. Learn the questions (and answers )!
My first driving lesson was spent in the car, having the car controls explained to me. I never even got to move off till my second lesson but have now had around 23 lessons of driving.
Thank god I have changed to a different driving school!
haha, good times.. I had no clue about cars at all.. My instructor was like wheres the accelerator, i was like sitting there saying nothing! Had my 15th lesson now- taking my test in a few weeks
I didnt stall in my first lesson! I did on my 6th tho! haha in traffic too, so embarrassing!. I was on the road straight away doing left hand turns and rights! good fun!
Just had my first driving lesson this morning!!! Was soo nervous, but excited too! Did 2 hours, and was driving around a little bit after about 40 minutes. I stalled once, haha, but not too badly. The hardest thing was deffo steering, I thought that would be easy! Went into the kerb once or twice when parking, oops. Lol. Next double lesson Thursday morning! Trying to remember the order you do everything!
I was told I did a few perfect starts, i.e. clutch control and biting point were good, and im good at looking in my blindspots
so overall, really chuffed.
how was everyone elses?
On my first ever driving lesson (ages ago now) i just got told the basics, like all the stuff in the cockpit etc. And started and stopped a few times and drive along the road.
Ok, expected to do better in terms of learning controls but never been near a car before so not going to be perfect but drove about 200 yards and practised stopping and starring, quite enjoyable
Urgh I hate driving. I felt so ill before my first lesson and it never got any better. Still feel that way now after months! Not quite as bad but can't eat before a lesson! I guess some people are just more 'natural' at it than others. I also think it helps the younger you are; less fear!
