Yeah, but nobody has to answer, and there are plenty of people on here who feel the need to share oh-so-much with the world.

why?

why?

Because I haven't been in a relationship for ages so I always use condoms, I don't like the idea of taking drugs to supress my body's natural functions when there's really no need. I don't want to be on the Pill my whole life.

I don't think I ever called it pointless. But yes that was me "ranting" (= expressing my opinion). I wondered how long it would be before someone brought that up! Just because I'm on the Pill doesn't mean I like it. I hate the thought of what it might be doing to me but I worry about not taking it for some reason now I've started. I guess there's that peace of mind that covers you in situations you can't plan for. And I would imagine it does less damage to you than the morning after pill.

Fair enough! And btw, i don't consider 'ranting' to be a negative thing :p:

Is abstinence really a method of contraception? On that theme shouldn't we also include morning after pill and abortion?

You can only have 10 options!
I included abstinence for people that aren't having sex, to kinda put it in proportion... It's definitely more of a method than abortion...

The 'pull out method' could have been included as well, even though it has a 17% failure rate and is not a very reliable method at all, but its amazing how many people do actually use it.... crazy people!

The morning after pill stops conception/impregnation.
