Learning Polish

any good books out there to help me learn polish? all my family are polish, as such, but my brother or I were never taught the language.

I have my parents to help me learn, thats fine in terms of practice, but are there any decent books aimed at young people or children?

also, any gcse polish textbooks out there? I was thinking that might be a good basis, and would be aimed at young people.

any further information is appreciated

http://grzegorj.w.interia.pl/gram/gram00.html that's like an in depth introduction.

If you're gonna self teach this site gives you all the resources http://www.skwierzyna.net/learn_polish.htm

I wanted to learn Polish but it's too hard to self teach and i couldn't do it in school or college so i did German instead (Y)
aah thank you for the information

I'd have thought theres some kind of GCSE textbook though. i know some basic fundamentals, but i need to develop it and the books I have are adult designed/grammar heavy too early one kinda hard to understand books...

Could your parents not teach you?
