I didn't have my braces very long at all, about a year and a half. I had traintracks on top and bottom and had them removed last July, I love the result. I still have to wear a retainer though.

I had a brace for about a year.
Didn't have an noticable difference as it aligned my back teeth.
They don't want to put a brace on my bottom teeth or to straighten the gaps in my top teeth. Apparently it would stain or something. I dunno, but I'm not all that bothered by it as it's not all that noticable.

Well, I got told I had to brush for 10 minutes each time I did, so 20 minutes a day, and then I got told that as my teeth were small there may still be gaps between them and I might need to spend £1000s on cosmetic dentistry! Luckily they are ok, and they didn't need that.

I've had mine 2 and a half years, the bottom set came off in Feb (verrrrrry nice result) and the top is due to be removed 22nd of this month.

I was wearing braces and so was the girl when I had my first kiss. I was worried the braces would get stuck but nope...lucky me.

I had train tracks top and bottom for about 2 years. They got taken off a couple of years ago. They took out four of my teeth beforehand. Apparently my mouth is too small for all my teeth so my mouth was crowded :frown: . Very pleased with the results, well worth it

The retainer is that plastic guard right? I tried to keep mine as much as the orthodontist told me but my teeth still moved a tiny bit. To be honest, I don't think much of braces. Only get them if you really have crooked teeth and it's apparent. If you wear braces, you're changing the positions of your teeth into a position they were never truly meant to be which leads to jaw problems.

i had them a few years ago now, for about 2 years. it was so weird getting them removed, my teeth appeared really big and white. like WOAH. i think they are worth it. my teeth before were so awful. and now they aren't

i had my brace off 6 yrs ago n i still need the plastic twice a week. dxdentist says gotta wear it til they stiop shifing. but mine was a drastic move tho
i had one behind my teeth pushing them outwards, when i was 9 i think it was... but there was hardly anything wrong with them :p:

My front two teeth are in need of them (one is about a mm overlapping the other). Do braces hurt? Is it a good idea to get them?
I've never had braces cause my dentist wouldn't let me wear them (I felt so left out when I was 12 :frown: )
