    Hi

I'm in Year 12, and my male friend, to put it frankly, stinks. His hair looks and is dirty - I sit next to him in History and it is sometimes unbearable.
People have told him he smells bad but he insists he washes his hair every day - there is no way he does tbh. I sit next to this kid and even the teacher doesn't come over anymore and I'm starting to think he thinks it's me
So how do I tell this poor boy that he needs to sort it out? He's generally lazy/never does any work and is on report but hmm...

Leave him alone .... not washing can be a sign of depression and he may already have a lot of his plate without people making personal comments

I'd stop speaking to him tbh and tell him he's a dirty waster who should be shot. You have to be cruel to be kind .

    Move and sit somewhere else?

Failing that rub some Vix vaporub under your nostrils before class to drown him out.

True said! Nothing you can do will get them to change really not even if you straight out tell them they stink. OP you just have to adjust to the smell or move seats.

    Easy.

Get everyone that sits near him/is likely to interact with him to walk around with rancid food in their pockets and chip fat over their face and hair (with noseplugs of course).

    He'll get the message ;]]

If you have to sit next to him, turn up to class in a deep-sea diver's suit complete with oxygen canister. He might get the message then. :yep:

Walk sharpishly past him armed with some Linx body spray, cough and splutter as if you're ill, and spray. Walk off quickly.
