An A i'm guessing. I got an A overall in both lang and lit (JUST!) despite the fact i scored mid-B's in the exam. However i got compensatory A*'s in all the coursework and a high B in the speaking and listening.

A mid-low A; considering the weighting of the exam - it's 60/40 against coursework.

However for lit it's abit different isn't it?

What if my coursework and speaking/listening are all A*s and in the exams I achieve high A's...Would that mean an A*?

If you're with AQA, it's 20% speaking and listening and 20% for written coursework.
So maybe an A?

Quite possibly but i warn you that English is a relatively difficult subject to get an A* in.

I got A in literature and my advice is to know the book(s). This may sound stupid but many students don't have a full understanding of their book thus, fail to write an effective essay. Remember you 'PETAL' technique: Point, Evidence, Technique, Audience, Link back to question.

Oh right, okay. I just need to ensure that all my coursework is of the highest quality and hopefully in the exam I can get really close to A* or an A*

Thanks.

You know when you have to compare two poems, what structure do you use?

Well what I did was use PETAL still, but made sure I was linking the two poems throughout in terms of the differences and similarities and what effect each one had on the audience and the differences in techniques used etc. I got a high B in the english lit paper for poetry but that was because we got awful poems come up which we hadn't fully discussed.
