will university like oxford prefer A* by resitting or A/B without resitting ?
Well since you can't actually get an A* until A2, they will have made you an offer or rejected you before you are awarded with an A*. So it's predicted grades and your final AS grades that matter I assume.
If you retake, you can't get an A*, no matter what your score at A2.
Oh, I was told this by a teacher, looks like I'm wrong, sorry.
i dont think they'd care cos i read in the paper the other day that they're not including the new A* in their offers - just AAA like before.
Quite a few other unis are not taking into account A* too.
Getting an A* does seem incredibly hard though - you'd have to get 180/200 on the two A2 units, meaning you could only drop max. 40 marks on one paper and have to get 100% in the other one!
well oxford dont ask for your module marks do they?
but you'll get no hwere with a B
