My PC is pretty rubbish really, 1gb RAM, radeon 9800 pro, pentium 4 3.00ghz. Can people recommend me some games that would work on my system. My favourite games are the entire half life series and cs:s. So i guess i prefer fps. Any help?

Most modern FPSs are going to be out of your league.

An oldie, but have you played Deus Ex?

    Get more ram dude.

Im planning on making a completely new system in the summer once i have some money. So i see little point in buying ram now. Besides, my graphics cards a piece of crap anyway.

ram on its own is not going to give my system that kind of capability. Besides, i pay for my games with bandwidth and effort...

You could try something like Baldur's Gate 2 (rpg), old yet satisfying.

If you're wanting to stick to playing FPS, then maybe Battlefield 2.

Everyone has said this, but I've managed to play anything I've tried fine up to bioshock and fallout 3 on my old pc with 1Gb. The whole omgwtfloadsofmemory stuff is just not true for the most part, especially if you're not running vista and have a vaguely clean set of background apps.. No need for pointless upgrades, when they'll just be thrown away later.

tried the HL2 series have you? TF2 is also good. Failing that try Left4Dead (I used to play source games on 2.8Ghz 512mb and 128mb radeon 9250).

Oh yeah, I am a Valve Fanboy
