Quick Question :)

I have my offer to study Mechanical engineering in september 09 and i just wanted to ask any existing students a question. I already have a desktop computer to take with me to uni but i was woundering if it would benifit me to buy a cheapish laptop or a netbook to go with my desktop. Does anybody really recommend that i get a laptop/netbook as well?

Depends on what you study like really. I love my laptop and it does help being able to set up your own system where ever.

my two cents: I had a laptop as well as my desktop in my first year and never used it. Haven't really missed it over the past few years.

you cant read in your bed with a desktop. i wont be able to study at all wihtout my latop,cause I do more than 50% of my studying in bed :biggrin:
Laptop is good. But if you have a good enough desktop you dont need something fancy
300-400 pounds one will be alright and I am sure you will find it useful :smile:
