my housemate and i want to go away for 2-3 weeks next jan/feb, ideally out of Europe as we're pretty well travelled within it. Not India, as she's just been there.

At the maximum, probably £1000 each for the whole thing including flights/boats/trains/hostels/camping or whatever. we can't drive but we'd like to see amazing scenery, do adventurous things, get some culture...not asking for much right?:p:

i doubt the not driving will be a problem, but just so you know.

Only problem is, we were looking at a world map yesterday and basically sticking pins in every single country to say we'd like to visit it. INSPIRE US and help us narrow it down:woo:

Do you want nice weather or arent you worried about winter? If you want sun we can then cut out the top 1/3 of the world. Thailands at its busiest and best around that time? Well best if you like huge throngs of backpackers to get drunk with. Also thats when temperatures are the nicest.
