Anybody know what the percentage is to get a grade C on this paper? Is it 70% or 80%?

Grade Boundaries change every year, depending on how well the whole country do. and its decided after the exams, so nobody knows, but usually it is around 70 ish percent.

Assuming you mean linear and not modular then historically from the two-tier exams C = Low 30's on higher (e.g. around 32-34%) or high 70's on foundation (e.g. around 77-78%). Boundaries move about a bit but not usually much for maths, remember though that it's a new specification this year (without coursework) so who knows what might happen to the difficulty of the paper.

thanks gdunne, thats very usefull. Perhaps I'd be better going for the higher paper and revising lots, and aim for an A or B grade to gain at least a C.

Foundation... 90% for a C?

Easier to get a C on higher paper than foundation.
