Gap year and summer holidays volunteering abroad opportunities.‏

I am currently promoting on behalf of i-to-i because i think that they offer really good opportunities for our age group to travel or volunteer abroad in your GAP YEAR or SUMMER HOLIDAY. i-to-i are a specialist TRAVEL and volunteering organization. They offer programs that give a UNIQUE travel experience abroad! Whether you fancy VOLUNTEERING around the globe or want to get TEFL qualified, there programs offer a great way to meet new people, immerse yourself in new CULTURES, enhance your job or uni applications and make a difference abroad.

Check out the i-to-i website at www.mygapexperience.com to find out some more about them!!

Find out more information from i-to-i and find the program that’s right for you!!

....whats with all the i-to-i promotion around at the moment?! 'specialist travel and volunteering organisation' = profit making company, making lots of money off of inexperienced 18 year olds.....yeah, no thanks.

Yeah they do look expensive and i-to-i isn't even listed on http://www.oneworld365.org and that site lists a lot of volunteer organisations!

I just came back from an i-to-i organised trip in Ecuador.. i-to-i are great if you're still in the uk etc.. but as soon as you go away, apart from not having to worry about accommodation/food.. I personally found them not hugely useful...

I know you didn't ask me but I was in Ecuador for 3 months so I can tell you a bit about it, too.

Sadly I didn't get to go to the Galapagos Islands, mainly because I didn't want to go by myself and all the friends I made didn't stay long enough.

Ecuador is a great country to visit just because it's really small and you can actually see the whole country in a short amount of time. There's so much variety too, because you have mountains, the jungle, the coast, all very pretty and interesting. And like I said, it just doesn't take that long to travel, buses are cheap. And the ecuadorian spanish is clearly the best!
If you want to know anything else, just ask!
