nothing seems to wrong in western society. if two men can get married and bring up a child sleeping with an escort is no big deal.

Lol you're just regurgitating what the media say. Obviously this does exist, but there are also much higher class 'escorts', who aren't forced into it in any way shape or form, and simply do it because they get lots of money.

How do you know?

The irony is you say bubbles is regurgitating the media view but you have NO evidence whatsoever for that statement.
Legally speaking, it is wrong in the UK. Go to Amsterdam.

~ Just try to make sure she's not a sex trafficked one, it's really on the rise and not good.~

Also, sex isn't the end of the world, really.

Oh please.
You're suggesting that two adults who love each other, legally declare this love and provide a child with a family enviroment, just as loving and stable as a hetrosexual one should be considered wrong?

For the record if my boyfriend told me he'd had sex with a prostitute I wouldn't be fussed.

Prostitutes generally don't want to have sex with their clients, but they have to because they need the money. In a way it can be classed as rape. Therefore I'd say it's morally wrong aswell as legally.

In no way can prostitution be classed as rape. I see your point, but it's not the same thing as they are giving their consent.

If you are desperate for sex and you can’t find a girlfriend. Is it ok to use a prostitute? It’s illegal but is it morally acceptable?

I personally don't see a problem with two consenting adults getting at it with an exchange of money. But it probably is not wise to make this decision lightly with the STD risks etc....but I guess since you've posted on TSR, you're taking this very seriously

What if in the future I told my girlfriend “hey I used a prostitute once, funny thing don’t you think?” What would happen? Would this be a wise choice?

I ppprrrrooooobbbbbbbaaaabbbbllllyyyyyy wouldn't tell her that to be honest matey!

No its not. At the end of the day, shes providing a service and your paying her for that, theres nothing morally wrong with it.

Although, I wouldn't tell anyone you know if you did do it.
i don't think it is morally wrong.

IMO, NO sex act between consenting adults is wrong.
Not it isn't bad to pay for sex, just make sure it's the kind of girl who doesn't have a pimp. Those tend to be in it for their own gratification as opposed to some pimp with a drug they want.

I don't want to sound like a troll but lets say if the women was really really good looking (stunning). And I had intercourse with her (shag sounds abit degrading lol) it would feel really good for me and would thus be meaningfull.

Jeremy Benthams Utilitarianism would support it.

Mills Rule utiliarianism might not thuogh ^.^
since the laws of the land are important, for the protection of people in society,

i dont think its right anyway to pay for sex...i mean, wats the point?
1. it costs (im sure you can buy somthing longer lasting. thuogh i suppose the stds and watever will last long enuogh for the moneys worth)
2. it means nothing, if you wait long enough so that your in a relationship, it will mean so much =]
3. you'l probably regret it, and i wuoldnt want to date someone who paid for sex. i just find it wrong.

You're trying to compare a job at a pool with prostitution?

Time and effort in exchange for money are the parameters of the comparsion. So yes... and?

What the **** are you on.

Appeal to ridicule/Ad homenim, a bit of both really. Either way not much of an argument...

By your logic doing anything for money is acceptable.

Straw man, any task which is not in of itself immoral can be traded for money acceptably. Thus paying for murder for instance remains wrong. Unless you wish to argue that sex is in of itself immoral you must redefine your rebuttle.

If my boyfriend told me that i'd be maaaaaaad.

And also, a bit disgusted.

Just wondering. Would you be mad and disgusted if your boyfriend told you that he had one night stands with drunk, wasted girls from night clubs whom he never saw again and/or that he had ****buddies?
Use an escort instead. Loving the "Find a girlfriend" comments from girls. Didn't realise girlfriends were sex objects.

Abortion is much more a moral issue than paying to have sex.
