Newcastle College watch

    • Thread Starter

Does anyone on here go to Newcastle College? Or have you studied there before?

Just want to know what it's like.

Also what is the teaching like as I've never really heard of what teaching is like at College.

I haven't been there, but a friend went - and promptly dropped out to attend sixth form at a school nearer to her. Said the teaching wasn't as good as she thought it would be, but missed the freedom that college gave her. It's not meant to be too bad in terms of teaching, but I know some of our sixth form schools get much better grades. Then again, you can't do the more specialised and more practical options at school (i.e. photography etc)

It's actually one of the best further education colleges in the country!

It also has excellent facilities and a good academic reputation.

Why not visit the website for details of an open day and then make your own mind up about it.
