can some1 give me a hand with this stats question:

an ordinary dice was thrown 50 times and he resulting scores were summarised in a frequency table. the mean score was calculated to be 3.42. it was later found that the frequencies 12 and 9 had been swapped. what is the correct value of the mean??

ive worked out the the total score must be (50 x 3.42) = 171

Can somebody plsss give me an idea of what to do next!!thanken yyaa!! :yep:

Is that the whole question as it appears in the book? As I don't think there is enough information there.

In that case, since we don't know what the frequencies refer to (unless there's a diagram as well, which might clarify things), it's not solvable.
