TBH I would just forget it. There are those who are very rude and obviously have no manners.
All things considered; I think I can safely conclude that an alarming number of people in the UK have no manners whatsoever.

No doubt due to the fact that no-one has to bother anymore, because the government will pay for their house, healthcare, food, transport, 'education', and general welfare, thus creating a generation of people who contribute nothing but enjoy taking from 'society'.

I blame the immigrants.

Only the Muslims though, apparently they learn how to be rude at special camps out in the darkest reaches of the UK.

There's no one to blame, some people have always been like that. It crosses cultural and class barriers too, some people really are just jerks.

You will have a long and shining career working for the Daily Mail. Or perhaps as a candidate for a far right party.

You're too young to have any valued opinion of society as a whole. Seriously I wouldn't have the balls to make generalisations like that.

Aren't these people university students anyway? In that case yeah they are a drain on society, bloody students, bag o' *****.

Of course; because only the "Daily Mail" and "far right" parties care about politeness and respect.

Is everyone like this nowadays, or is it limited to the working classses?

This makes me chuckle.
I don't think I even want to go there... but REALLY?!

I do agree, there is an alarming number of people who lack manners. Frankly they need to be shot.
When I drive, I stop at the zebra crossing, most of the time they just walk across without acknowledging that I stopped. I feel like running them over. **** me off big time. They could say thank you.
Sanyore
Have you contacted the daily mail?

Haha.

I live in central London and the majority of people I come across seem decent. I can't stand the Daily Mail/Conservative rubbish about 'broken Britain'.

You don't stop out of kindness - you have a duty to stop at a zebra crossing. So why do you expect gratitude?

A persuasive rebuttal - well done!

Now how exactly is Britain 'broken'? Would you care to elaborate?

I don't even know where to begin but it all boils down to manners. How would you feel if some one randomly gave you the middle finger like the situation of the author of this thread?

I get stressed because of the lack of manner. I gave you the example of the zebra crossing.

What does OP stand for? Does anyone know?

Yes, such instances are annoying but it's wrong to implicate the entire country with such behaviour.

Original poster, I believe. Just a guess.

It is far too prevalent to suggest it is limited to a minority of people though.

It is an attitude, fuelled by socialism, that is spreading amongst British working-class youth.

I can understand your point, but as a society we should try and prevent this. We do not. It is a shame. If someone did gave me the middle finger randomly, I would simply run them over and apparently if I did that I would be arrested. That is grossly unfair.
That's just dodgy people for you. They think it's cool. I live near two schools back home so this happens a lot. At uni level people should be more mature though.

Good then sign up at the first possible opportunity or get a degree geared towards journalism, you're a shoe in.

If you fail you can always become an embittered reader and write scathing letters from your bunker in suburbia.
