If I remember correctly, mystery shoppers don't get paid.

You do get paid. They pay you for the item or product you buy, and occasionally it can be a bit of extra money on top of that.

WAIT, wait...you get paid...to shop? I looked at the site...is this actually legitimate, or is it some sort of scam?

I'd have to admit I signed up to RetailEyes and created my profile fully and whatever, but I've never ever been given ANY assignments. My profile has probably been deleted!! No assignments eh?! How annoying...

Not really. Businesses get mystery shopping services to test the quality of their staff. As a mystery shopper, you get a list of things you need to test in a specific shop, based around customer service. After you're done you need to write up a small report on what you found and send it back to whoever you're working for, who willl reimburse you for expenses and may pay a little extra on top of that for your time. But really, it's pittance, and since everyone who can't get a job is looking at doing mystery shopping to get a bit of a cash in the meantime, you won't get regular jobs.

These are my favourite two for avaliability and ease of shops - and I have been paid loads and had really good assignments:

GFK : https://cybershop.gfk.com/Cybershop2Web/Public/Welcome.aspx

and GAPbuster (Google gapbuster)

Totally genuine!!

I will recommend this one aswell.

Tends to do mainly McDonalds, KFC, Subway, Post Office and 3 Mobile Store.

I would avoid Post Office, but the rest are all fine. (The post office ones are crazy - buy a stamp, say you're coming off benefits and want a new bank account, say your mother has died and needs her bank account cancelling etc.)

ive done jobs for tns, gapbuster, retail eyes and GFK. all of which now have alot less jobs than they used to.

i am also signed up to BARE (phone shops, flights) Grassroots (new look and phone shops), aqa (arcadia clothes shop, wilkinsons, tk maxx etc) and Optimum contact (bowling and cinema).

i dont do mystery shopping that much anymore butworth a look signing up to as many as possible if your wanting to earn a decent wage.

You can get lots of free stuff, including restaurant meals, fast food meals and more doing mystery shopping - plus you get a few quid on top. Some MS agencies pay more than others. Jobs are on an ad hoc basis. I think that the best thing to do is sign up with as many as possible to secure a few jobs a week. Let me know if you need any further help.

Retaileyes are really good. I am deaf and they have always been really helpful, pay on time and good amount of jobs, including nandos!. Stay away from servelegal, my friends have said their pay is rubbish and they basically told me the job wasn't for me because they only wanted to contact me on the phone, even though this is impossible for me.

I hope you all do realise that it is against your contract which you agree to when you sign up as a mystery shopper to mention client names (e.g. names of the shops/restaurants etc you do mystery shops to). I have known people banned from doing visits because they did this.

If you want to tell people more info just say "popular fast food restaurants and sandwich shops" or something like that. Generic terms like 'bowling' and 'cinema' are also fine.

You do realise you have quoted posts that are 2 and a half years old? Things change.
