All the past papers are in the short loans section in the library (floor 0, at the back next to the check out desk thing). All the papers are in boxes according to subject, and grouped into years, so for example all the chemistry papers for 2004, for all levels (ie 1st to 4th year) and bound together into a booklet in course code order (if that makes sense). To get copies you have to put some money onto your campus card and then photocopy the papers relevant to you on the machines in the short loan section. You can't take the booklets away with you, and the answers aren't provided. However some of my papers have been posted on blackboard this year, which saves me the hassle of going to get them, and also the photocopying costs! Its worth photocopying a few years worth of papers to have a practise with, so that you get used to the format and timings and stuff. Having said that, I still haven't attempted any of my past papers yet these holidays!

Yes, it's a shame that the solutions aren't provided. But if you're lucky, your lecturer might hold a revision session after the Easter holidays, where they will go through the answers of last year's exam paper.

It does seem a bit unhelpful not providing solutions because without them how do you know your not doing the questions completely wrong!! I'll have to try and persuade the lecturers!! Cheers for your help!

The trouble is that the questions are quite similar year to year (because of the modules, there are usually only a few topics that they can ask you about), so giving answers to each set of exam papers would mean you could look at a few, and then be able to give near perfect answers in your exam.

Last year, I had tutorials for one of my modules, and cos Easter was later last year when we came back we didn't have lectures, just the exam period. However my tutor organised an extra tutorial, specifically for us to ask questions before the exam, but only 2 of my group showed up, and since I had the past papers with me we went through one so I got a pretty good set of answers. Its definitely worth asking  .

If you go to your school's office and ask nicely, they should be able to provide you with a copy of past exam papers, and even photocopy them for you. I did this to get some past exam papers from the SOC office.
