Those pesky youngsters. Back in my day, I sold the place very well indeed! :shakecane:

Haha yeh the people I spoke to just had nothing to say. Still not sure if I made the right decision, it was just so pretty! I think I'd probably be happy at either college, though I need to actually get in first :s

Dw, if you like St Anne's better, then you should go for that :yep:
I would just like to know from anyone who has been to open days/is studying/has studied at any of the Oxford Colleges and that knows about details of the colleges.
A few questions..
Can you study any marketing/communication degrees?
Which is the most modern college? (Most recently built?)
Is it true that Oxford Colleges value media/photography as/a levels less than the more academic subjects?
THANKS!

You can look at the full list of courses but I'm fairly confident you cannot. This probably means you should be looking at other universities that do offer the degree you're interested in.

Is it possible to change the college after receiving your offer but before matriculation?
Say, I applied to college A, but they moved my application to college B, however, more people didn't meet offers in College A, and they have a place for me. Would it be possible for me to move to college A?

No,that doesn't happen i'm afraid. And matriculation doesn't haveanything to do with it - you can change college after matriculation under certain circumstances (e.g. changing subject) just as easily.

Unfortunately, no. That's why the University gives open offers I think - so that if a college is lacking in student numbers in a particular subject, they can take those who have an open offer.
Hey guys.

Could I get some feedbacks about st Hilda's please?

I would like to know as much as you know. :colondollar:

I was also wondering wether I could join a soccer team from an other college or not.

Thanks.

I know some very nice people at St. Hilda's. Never been to the actual college, though. Also, I'm pretty sure you can only play for your own college's football team, or the whole university football team (but this is very high standard).

If its like all other sports i've ever played, you can play for whoever you want, as long as its only for 1 college in a given season.

I don't know why you would play for a different college though. And it is kind of against college spirit.
Thanks.

St Hilda's doesn't have a soccer team, I was hoping I could still play with an other college.

I guess I'll have to start rugby if I am admitted. :s-smilie:

Seriously? I know they don't have many boys but that is rather ridiculous!

EDIT: they have a football team. 2 of them.

You could either try to start one yourself (i'm sure there will be interested parties, and the lower leagues are pretty low standard!) or try to start ajoint team with another smaller college in need.

I know, I couldn't believe it.

Yeah, something can be figured out.

This non-existent soccer team seems to have beaten a joint Corpus Linacre team 4 nil on Friday

The second team doesn't exactly seem to be doing too badly either...

Are you confusing the use of the word 'football' with American Football?

Just wondering given how you've referred to a 'soccer team'.

I went to the Law Taster Course and I was given accommodation at a random college which turned out to be Corpus Christi. I loved the location, the students and the whole college so I decided it was a sign and applied there.

However, someone has just told me that Corpus is a very small, quiet college and most people who go there hate it. Is this true?! I'm sure it couldn't be...

Disclaimer: I actually go to Corpus.

Corpus is a warm and friendly atmosphere, yes, it can be quiet at times, but everyone smiles at everyone, and its very inclusive apart from the odd group or two. Don't expect to be going clubbing every night, think, movie nights, debating in rooms, corridor parties and bops!

Though the first team did just lose 9-2 to New. :teehee:

Hello, was wondering whether I could talk (via PM) to anyone who studies (or studied) Law at Christ Church.
^Highly unlikely
