Choosing an Oxford College

I'm an international student so trying to go out and get accommodation or storage is not easy so I'd love to find somewhere that is known for their great accommodation.

Worcester offers accommodation for all years of a three year course, or 3 out of a 4 year course. I think the college also provides storage to international applicants, but I'm not 100% sure. The downside is having to move in and out every holiday in 1st and 2nd year (but in 3rd/4th you only move out during interviews). There's quite a few internationals but they fit in well with all the home students, it's not like there's an international clique.

On a side note I hear Univ is also good for storage over the vacation.

St Hugh's lets you live on the main college site for all 4 years

Do you want great accommodation, or do you want somewhere that will let you live in during the holidays? Very different criteria.

And getting storage is easy - i think all colleges offer international storage or there's e.g. this if you need it which picks up andis reliable, albeit expensive.

I'd love both but i'd be willing to get away with just something with an amazing reputation for accommodation

Yep, you can store all of the stuff you want. Inc. televisions, bikes, anything really! That's every vacation, too -- even over the summer!

Christ Church also have formal hall every day

Seriously? Do you mean there's formal hall which you can book onto or you must dress up to eat in their hall at dinner? Madness if it's the latter

The tourists are annoying around matriculation period! About 20 ran into college when we were taking our college photo! Lodge guys had to chase them out

Yeah it's good. Not many people are actually that brilliant at chess either

I can imagine! Not going to lie, although I love that Univ is the oldest.. The super early wake for matriculation is not looking appealing!
What year are you in btw?

And that's good! Id fit right in because I'm probably awful compared to most people!

Yeah I didn't like it either. One guy failed to get up for it this year..

First year :^_^:

Ah don't worry about it. I don't think anybody takes it too seriously, and it's not difficult to learn!
