Wow, thanks for the speedy advice! I'll definitely be coming back next week! Oooh I looked round LMH actually but I thought it was slightly too modern for me... How are they similar then?
Well afaik they are the only other college with equally stunning grounds. That is the main similarity I'm thinking of. I've only been to LMH once but was blown away by how nice the grounds were!
Do go back to Woosta and consider it though. Sexy Bob is lovely (and rather sexy, hence the name ) and Tunstall would fight for you to be pooled (if necessary) on the French side of things if she liked you enough
Hey everyone! I'm a newbie here too and I'm planning on applying for History and French this year. But I'm completely stuck with picking a college!! I visited Oxford a few months ago and fell in love with Worcester, but I've heard from quite a few people now that it's the most over-subscribed?! Are any other colleges similar to Worcester? What I loved the most was its appearance, as well as the library, location and gardens and just the 'feel' of it. I'm coming back again for the Open Day next week, but I haven't got the time to look round colleges all day! Any suggestions?
Well, I think most colleges are pretty tbh. If you like big open spaces colleges like Magdalen (also competitive), St Hugh ', LMH, and to a lesser extent Merton, Christchurch, Balliol, maybe a couple others.
To be honest though from the way you're speaking I'm going to guess that you won't change your mind and you may as well go ahead and apply to Worcester. You are no less likely to get into the university, the differences aren't that huge and you still have a decent chance of getting in and as mentioned it isn't even the most competitive any more anyway.

Thanks for the advice everyone! (: Yeah I am pretty set on woosta now! And anyway, even if I did get pooled by another college I'd just be happy to get into oxford in the first place!
A number of Oxford colleges have student-made videos that give an idea of what student life is like. You can find links on the admissions webpages. Here's an 2-minute example made by Brasenose students:
Jesus don't really have many at all - also hoping to make some new ones, I think the ones I saw on the website either didn't work or were from 2008/09.
All the building work is done now, so some of the rooms that Abi could not show in the video will be back in circulation, and the new cafe and sun terrace will be open.
Hi, I'm applying to Geography this year and I still haven't decided where yet I want an oldish(at least not 20th century) but not too posh or traditional college which preferably does NOT have a huge emphasis on sports. Any suggestions? What's Keble or Mansfield like?

Also, cheap food/accomadation would be nice
Hertford or Jesus could be pretty good both pretty old but not too 'posh', a little bit of tradition but not too much!

Mansfield has a good reputation for geography, cheapish accommodation (although you have to live out in second year), decent food and a relaxed attitude to sport. It's probably worth looking up the results of geographers over the last few years, those who graduated in 2012 did very well but I don't have more recent knowledge.

Jesus! I'm starting at Jesus for Geography in October. Definitely worth having a look there, it's quite a small college but has plenty of benefits. Very friendly (though I reckon you'd be hard pushed to find anywhere that ISN'T friendly...), accommodation for all 3 years (in the second and third out in flats), fantastic tutors (from my interview experience), very inclusive but not necessarily competitive sports, erm...it's just great! Rooms at Jesus are around £20 a night and it's a standard rate for all rooms which can vary from the old and traditional to the modern ones in Ship Street Centre.
Hey guys! I'm an international student from Ireland applying for Biomedical Sciences for 2015. I'm thinking that I want to go to either St.Annes or Univ any thoughts on which ones better?

Univ is more central, but other than that I can't really compare them for you.
I can tell you more about Univ though if you want?
