Glasses marks

Does anyone get them above your nose and between your eyes when wearing glasses. Sometimes the skin seems dark there (probs from holiday) when I take them off. Sometimes when I wear glasses for a long time, it also takes a long time for the temporary "dents" to disappear. My skin seems a little different from even when disappeared. My glasses were quite heavy due to my heavy prescription.

I ALWAYS used to get them! It was pretty annoying! Now I wear contacts so obviously I don't get them anymore!

And all the "You should have gone to Specsavers" jokes aren't funny, either!

yup, but as I wear my glasses all the time its not really a problem.
I do get that sometimes, but since my optician adjusted them for me tis much better- go see yours! (might not work for you but it is worth a try)
LOL it's bloody annoyin! Last year I had my glasses on to read signs and things and it was really hot! and I tanned but was white where my glasses had been! And because I dont always wear them! So Embarrasin!

Since I've been using contacts my glasses marks went pretty fast, is there any way you could possibly get your lenses thinned down? I know specsavers do it, not sure how much it costs though.

I'm not really bothered about glasses marks as I don't get them! I just cannot stand getting dust and dirt on them and having to clean them every 5 seconds.
I am blind as a bat, I have a MASSIVE prescription, and my glasses used to be as thick as anything, then I got concentrated glass ones, they are much much thinner. But if it bothers you THAT much you can always go for contacts. I wear them now, and muchprefer them to glasses.

this sounds totally daft; but do remember [maybe at nighttime] to moisturise that area, or put some cocoa butter on it to stop it going callous-y.

im clueless on what your on about here! sounds daft anyway....

Most people look dead when they take off their glasses, but the marks will disappear eventually.

I always wear glasses, so it doesn't really matter for me, but yep, I get those dents too.

yep, I did, then I started wearing contacts
i'm surprised people have so many problems with wearing glasses. I mean, you just wear them and then you forget that theey're there as does everyone else don't they?

I'm so used to wearing mine now - the only annoying thing about them is that they get really dirty even after you clean them and they keep slipping down (ok thats 2!)
but i forget that i'm wearing them - cos if i took them off i'd be completely blind!!!
