You dont have to apply now if you dont want to but i would recommend you do it as soon as you can because quite a few halls/types of rooms seem to be filling up and so you might not get your first choice if you leave it too long.
People have been able to apply since end of jan which I thought was harsh because i had to wait ages after that for my insurance offer.
