It'll not be as good as College Lane for socialists in my opinion.

Sure you don't mean sociable people? Socialists is a very different thing :p:

Most TSR DeHav people will either ask to move, or hate living there. Fact.

Probably! I have my own place so doesnt really effect me.

Butler/Fern, Roberts Way, Chapman/Broad/Coales, Telford Court, DeHav would be the optimum order in my opinion
is anyone having a problem finding the "grays anatomy" book from the reading list?!?!?!? i can't find the 2005 one only the 2009 one!

There should be copies for loan in the LRC, it'll be a case of writing down what you want and trying to get one before the rest

Someone told me not to buy all the books. Urmm I can't remember what ones he said. But he said some are quite expensive (£60 ish ! !) and we can just find those in libraries

You will need the books, I put off buying them for ages, thinking I could get away with it but eventually I needed badly so ordered them all from Amazon. Only one I didn't like was the physics one, there are better ones out there that i wish i bought instead. But the anatomy ones are needed, there is so much to cover and it is all in them. There will be a lot of workbooks and revision sheets to fill in and figure out using only those books sometimes. I found them impossible to do before I got the books.

Yes, there are expensive , but those books will last you the 3 years. You won't need to buy any more if you don't want to, I did buy a few extras to help but that was my choice. I did another degree a few years ago, and we had a different set of books every module, different modules every semester, every year so while books were cheaper but in the long run came to way more money.

the library does have plenty of copies but last year there were 135 in my year at the start and then also other 2 years. At exam and essay time when they really needed its not always that easy to get the book needed.

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this website, so please excuse me if i seem abit slow lol.

I am applying to do radiography at Herfordshire.

I just wanted to ask if anyone can give me more insight into the placements.

How long are they and is it like a september to september year or do you get full holidays?

I would be very greatful if anyone could help.

Thank you in advance!

You get holidays  Although not as long during the summer as other courses.
In the first year there is a two week introductory placement around Novemberish time. From Febuary to April ish there is a 6 week placement. And then in the summer there is an 8 week placement which finishes at the end of July. Then you get 2 months off for summer. And you get a few weeks off in December and some other weeks off around the year.
In the second year you spend the majority of time on placement. Aaaand in the third year I can't remember, but I think it's more at uni rather than on placement. If you want more details I will fish out the information I have about it - just can't quite remember where I put it at the moment!

Hope that helped

If you want to know anything more just let me know

I was just wondering how lenient the admissions tutor will be if I miss out on the points needed?

And whether anyone has got into radiography even though they missed out on their grades?

It depends on how many applied to how many places there are, if there are 150 places and 200 applicants, if you miss your needed points and 150 others don't, its unlikely you'll be accepted. Although in this situation they might suggest you take a similar course and if people drop out, allow you to transfer over

Judging by the people that got in this year, they are quite lenient
But as DoktaUH said, it depends how many people applied.
