Im really stuck for some essay ideas, it can be on anything ( thats the problem) to do with France. Does anyone have any ideas on a good topic? Thanks

You could try doing a historical aspect of France such as the French Revolution or the Parisian student riots of 1968. Or try having a look at topics that have been in the news - try this site for news articles in simple French.

OP, There are plenty of things to do an essay on, you could focus on the nationalism in France, languages in France, why, when and how France has been re-united, you can also focus on a region and describe the culture, food, language, etc. France has a very rich history as well so you could write about what France was under the Roman empire, Renaissance, the Enlightenment, more recently 1st and 2nd WW, 1968 riots, changement from monarchy to democracy. You could focus on an aspect of the life of French people, like the educational system, a day in their life, what is different in France and in the UK, etc. For any topic, don't hesitate to ask any question, especially if you decide to do it about nationalism, or focus on Brittany or aspects of life, I'd be happy to help and provide explanations. :smile:

How about french history? Maybe even about trading and wars between the french and other countries? Or even about The history of them taking control over Reunion island.
