Girls are so assuming

I gave a girl the most beautiful bouquet of flowers out of the blue and now she's ignoring me..

..well thats great

Ive been told by other girls shes probably worried becos the flowers mean that I either want something I shouldnt be wanting.. or Ive done something wrong... OR im about to ask her to marry me or something and they were a bit TOO much.

FFS - I just got them because it upset me how she was always tired and depressed so I thought these would brighten her day.

If girls are like this.. 1. No matter Romance is dead and 2. I give up..

Im the same... I totally dnt understand women... buy em some flowers and they freak out... buy em summat cheap and ur a loser... whats a good present to give a girl to cheer her up because lets face it, nothing seems to work!!

Not a teddy tho... I hate buying teddies...

and still nothing.. so i sent her a message "why are you acting so strange?"

.. and nothing.. as usual.

screw this.. I give up on her.. and the thing is.. I know they were absolutely beautiful.. the florist is using the picture she took of the bouquet for her web site since it was perfect.

A dozen baby blue roses... oh well

so would most girls make such assumptions instead of taking at face value?

just tell her what the flowers are really about and she'll stop freaking out and appreciate it as well. say it's really nothing apart from caring for her as a FRIEND. better emphasise "friend" if she's that paranoid.

Thats such a sweet thing to do! Not all girls will think you are after something. One of my best friends gave me flowers last week (ok she's female) but she knew i was really down and wanted to cheer me up. No it didn't get rid of my problems, but it showed me she cared and put a smile on my face.

most girls would not react the way she is reacting. This is weird behaviour. Please please dont judge all girls by this, or be put off making such a gesture to a different girl in the future, it would make most of us girls YEARS to get something so nice from someone who likes us

I know its weird.. and i dont know why shes acting this.. and becos its really troubling me i want to contact her.. but she keeps ignoring my calls.. i think.. COS thats the problem.. she doesnt pick up!

Ok heres another great one insight ive had about girls.. one moment theyre really nice.. so much so that i flew across the world earlier to get back for her and give her flowers.. and the next moment NOTHING.

Although it in itself (the nothingess) isnt a horrible act.. its more of an horrible omission.

Dam right mean..

ATLEAST im starting to despise her for this.. if all girls are like this (which I HAVE NO IDEA) then the next time they complain that no one ever does anything nice for them.. they shud be SHOT. (jk.. but just)

..and about three weeks ago I got her the cutest cuddy puppy when she was ill..

But you ARE wanting something aren't you? Or am I confusing you with someone else on here?

Call her. Texting won't work because it's easy to ignore. If you don't make any progress in the next few days, call her, and you'll have to tell her. Don't put any pressure on her, but at least she'll know and can make a decision rather than not being quite sure.

yes I do want something

I want to be with her and her to be happy

but she could have easily guessed that from the way i act and the things i say..
the reason why i got her the roses was becos she mentioned how lovely blue roses are and they were her favourite but no one ever gets them for her and she would love some.. i took that as an indication tat she WOULD be very happy if she did receive some.. and so i got her them.

The fact that I think shes wonderful and want to be with her wasnt why i gave her the flowers.. but yes it is something i want.. but i would easily accept friendship since im not coming back to this country in 3 years and im only here for another month and i DO REALLY want to make her happy.. but a prerequisit is that im around her to do so.

..sorry.. im prob not making sense.. but was any of that understandable ??

Not without speaking to her. I understand your situation - perhaps being with her wouldn't be a wise move, but at least tell her how you feel, or she'll continue to be freaked out and won't have the best memories of you when you leave. Tell her what you just wrote on here.
