Ive never had it done but I should imagine it hurts many muchly like bikini waxing does but its only a small area so it cant be too unbearable :smile:

I've had my bikini line done a couple of times, the first time was unbearable, after that i knew what to expect. I just don't wanna go through the pain if it doesn't last long.

I have had my underarms waxed a few times before. The first time yes it was painful, but not unbearable. Being hair free lasted for about ten days for me but everyones different. I then got them waxed again, and the second time was not sore at all, it just felt like the same as when you rip a plaster off your leg.

The second time i was hair free for two weeks. The more you get your underarms waxed, the better as the hairs grow back more slowly after each time meaning you are hair free for longer and the hair also becomes finer which generally means less pain.

I would reccomend getting it done. The long term results especially after having them waxed quite a few times are really worth it. :smile:

Nah. Done professionally it does hurt but its not unbearable and its over fairly quickly and the results are well worth it :smile:

I want to get my legs waxed and a bikini wax but i've heard so many people say how sore it is and it scares me. Like i said in the childbirth thread, i don't handle pain well.

Legs are not too bad...bikini was is bad first time but not so bad after that.

and cos its sort of flabby skin when you hold your arm so the area is flat, it rips at ur skin and hardly removes any hair. and grossly, u maybeleft with alot of unremoved hair but your underarms will be all gummy for days after and if u wash it with hot water it huurtrtrss

also i advise against Brazilian waxing. i can only imagine the pain...

that'll depend, if you're used to shaving, then your hair probably grows quite thick, which will make it hurt quite a lot, cause I've always waxed it doesn't hurt that much at all...
If you do wax though, make sure to use hot wax, hurts a lot less and is usually much more effective then cold wax, so you'll only need to apply wax and pull the strip once or twice in each area (as opposed to the hundred times you'll have to do it with the cold wax) - suggest you get it done by a professional though

I'm considering getting my underarms waxed because if I shave there a lot it gets really irritated and itchy and ingrowing hairs....eeewwww

if you go to a professional and get it done it's much less painful because 1) they're trained and know what they'er doing and 2) you don't know exactly when the rip is going to come so don't tense against it!

i really didn't think hte bikini line hurt that bad, especially one subsequent visits. i've heard underarm hurts like nothing else but is worth it.

I'm very tempted to get it done; trouble is that I never have time to let it grow long enough for it to work - because I do so much sport etc I shave them a lot, and I would hate to be seen with hairy armpits, even if they were waxed later!

and I would hate to be seen with hairy armpits, even if they were waxed later!

Thats why i'm thinking just keep shaving...but you have to shave so much in the summer!
