weight, mg, is a vector since forces are vectors, hope it helps:smile:
Vector :yep: It has a magnitude and a direction.
mg - indicating there's gravity, which has a direction! therefore vector.
vector - weight (magnitude and direction)
mass - scalar (magnitude only)

Vector. It's a force. But it's direction is always towards the centre of the earth (if it's on Earth, that is). That's why it's confusing.
