At A-Level Calculus is indisputably harder.

A lot of calculus involves the use of trig, anyway. For example, some expressions such as cos^2x can't be integrated without using trig relationships to convert it into an expression involving cos2x, etc. But Calculus is definitley more difficult than trig.

calculus is easy
You are doing AS levels and have been doing so for about two months. Therefore, you have very little experience in calculus. The calculus you will have done would not have involved differentiating and integrating functions, rather stupidly easy things like differentiating x^2, etc, etc. You can't really have a valid say in the matter until you have done some real maths. .

i found trig harder as you need to remember stuff like the identities and surds. calculus was straightfoward fun

!!

I absolutely loathed calculus A2. By the time they were introducing new topics in modules merely to get us to do more integration (intrinsic coordinates springs to mind), I was really fed up.
Funny, though, cos I enjoyed Maths overall.
