A lot of calculus involves the use of trig, anyway. For example, some expressions such as cos^2x can't be integrated without using trig relationships to convert it into an expression involving cos2x, etc. But Calculus is definitley more difficult than trig.

i found trig harder as you need to remember stuff like the identities and surds. calculus was straightfoward fun

I absolutely loathed calculus A2. By the time they were introducing new topics in modules merely to get us to do more integration (intrinsic coordinates springs to mind), I was really fed up.
Funny, though, cos I enjoyed Maths overall.
