If I was to go to hospital would they even be able to do anything with it?
If it's really REALLY hurting than yes. When I was uncertain about what to do when I had an accident, I called NHS Direct, they were really helpful and told me that I needed an ambulance, and they sent one for me. The number's 08454647, if you want to talk to an expert about what to do, if it could be broken and whether you need to go to A&E or not. I highly recommend it

And if the NHS dnt do nuffing just go back in time  . No seriously
if it still hurts in the morning go to A&E. Foot injuries can be very bad as feet are horribly complex and also endure a lot of strain.

Oh my god I dropped a weight on my foot about half an hour ago and now it's really REALLY hurting and is completely swollen.
Could it be broken? Should I go to the hospital? Jeez this is really the last thing I need :frown:

If you keep off the foot fetishes for a few weeks, im sure the swelling will go down.

If it is broken don't worry, it's not all bad.

It was a broken foot that brought me to TSR!

If it IS broken make sure you attend ALL the physiotherapy sessions when the plaster comes off or you'll have a limp

I broke my foot on the second day of my holiday before. Ooh it was awful. It didn't actually hurt all that much to be honest, but it was awful having a pot on in the hot weather and not being able to go in the pool. If yours is hurting I really advise you get it checked out.

1) put it in ice/some cold for at least 10 mins
2) take some ibuprofen
3) if it hurts in morning to put weight on it/it swells up, go to A&E.

Theres little point calling NHS direct for this
I broke my foot and ignored it because it didn't hurt that much. I ended up walking around on it for three weeks until I snapped the bone compleatly and broke the other foot from putting to much weight on it

or you could book an emergency appointment with your gp who would advise wether u need to go to A&E

Better to go to gp and wait for an hour to be told you don't need to go to a&e rather than go to a&e and wait 5 hours to be told u didn't need to be there!

from my experience of this sort of case your gp will just send you to hospital to get an xray. It's difficult for them to tell whether anything's broken just from an extrnal examination.

Thanks for your help guys...

I went to the hospital in the end and they said it's not broken but there could be ligament damage...this is a disaster, I can't do sports for ages. :frown:
