A-level English Language Editorial Writing.

Has anyone got any tips that could help me improve my editorial writing skills and could recommend me any books or websites that would help me prepare for the exam. I feel that Editorial writing is one of my weakest areas and I really need help with it.

try getting your hands on some past papers, and practise. i thought this module sucked and didn't have enough time to finish. basically, they're really stingy with the marks, so you need to be able to get inspiration from all kinds of weird places. analyse random advertisments, pamphlets, tour guide information etc and think about what worked in them and what you think would have connected better with the audience. if your writing for teens, be a bit patronising, even though it isn't how you would want to be addressed, the examiners expect it, AND GIVE MARKS FOR IT!!!
