Pill and Antibiotics? Odd symptoms? 3rd time posting, won't come up!

Hi everyone...I'm 19 this year and have been on Microgynon 30 for nearly year and have had no problems. I take my pill on the dot, and use precautions if anything disrupts it. I contracted mastitus a few weeks ago and was given antibiotics. The day I started them my partner and I used condoms in case the effect of the pill was reduced, just to eliminate the risk. We have not had unprotected sex since, as I wanted to finish my packet to make doubly sure...and we're also currently going through some problems so haven't had sex in a while. I've had some odd symptoms and I'm only about halfway through my pills...I bled after wiping going to the toilet a few days ago, I've felt a little moody and tired and have had tummy and back pains (though some are on a particular side so am I just ovulating?).. Is this normal PMS? I assume it's too early, as I never get it until a few days before my period is due. I read on some medical manual that emergency contraception is sometimes needed after antibiotics are started, even if condoms are used after starting the course as it disrupts the cycle and can cause pregnancy. Any thoughts? May get a pregnancy test tomorrow to set my mind at rest. I really hope I'm not, my partner and I are having serious problems and it's looking likely our 2 year relationship will end...we're just not comptatible anymore and his mood and temper have become too much when I know there's happier relationships out there. I asked what would happen if he hit me and he said then he's get it if i left him and went to the police...which didn't exactly confirm that he wouldn't =( I don't have a temper at all so I'm a big baby when he gets moody...I just know this isn't the person I want to be with long term, and him being in my life, even when we weren't together has felt so manipulative and psychologically straining., Sorry for the rant, thanks alot =) xxxx

If you used condoms, you are pretty much safe. The extra bleeding and so on could well just be because your antibiotics (though it very much depends what sort they were) have affected your pill - but if you've not had sex apart from that once when you used condoms, it's unlikely to be because you're pregnant! Take a test if you're unsure, and good luck sorting things out with your boyfriend.
