Hi

I had a scholarship interview two weeks ago.. and did a bit of study before it - so be prepared!. There are heaps of stories online from people who have gone through the interview process in the US for the Rhodes, Marshall scholarships (even though I wasn't going for those) and they had good points to note even though your interview probably won't be as freaky as those seem to be.

Also, know about the scholarship, who is offering it, why are they offering it, and go through your essay (if you have written one) because they will ask about it, they will ask about your undergraduate studies etc.

In my actual interview, had a panel of three, they asked about what I was doing now - my employment, about my essay that I had written, my life, a few what they thought were curly questions. It was over in about 20 minutes.

I thought I had done terribly, thought I waffled but I was prepared to a certain extent because of what I had studied beforehand about the organisation, Scotland etc. i found out two days ago that I was successful with the scholarship so am off to Glasgow Uni to do a masters this Sept.

Maybe you can find out about who's gonna interview you. That way, you can take some of the edge from anticipation, and you can even find out a little about the person,so you can have an idea of the possible questions that will be asked in the interview.

That said, however, there are usually standard questions anyway, like why you want to do a postgrad degree in that subject, why that uni, what you will do with that postgrad degree, etc.

Good luck!
