The risk is not very high and even if it get's infected as long as you don't leave it too long it will be fine.

That's so weird! i had my tragus pieced yesterday! It's not at the top of th ear but it's cartillage still. I have to boil water, add salt and bath my piercing twice a day. Then i have to apply 2-3 drops of tea tree oil, leave for a few minutes then rinse it off with more salt water. If you have any questions the people where you have it pierced should be more than helpful

this is quite different to having the lobe pierced in terms of how it will heal.

no, but someone I knew at school kept getting new piercings and used to tell everyone about them

Some good stuff for piercings... Savlon Antiseptic spray - its non greasy and absorbs into the skin so you can use it on piercings - my piercer recommends it. A salt water is just as good though

Ditto.

Earrings can look nice (on girls) though.

Anyone seen that old Pepsi advert (might only have been in Europe) where a whole family are totally riddled with piercings and start leaking Pepsi. Yum yum.

I only plan on really getting a few more lobe piercings in september. "I can't stop you doing it, but as long as you plan on living in my house" runs out in sept

but what's the point of them? I can imagine they hurt pretty bad if you ever get hit by lightening.

I should imagine they would, unless I got plastic studs! I don't know - I just like TIIIINNNY little studs in ears.

ok, It must be part of this fashion thing which people tell me I know nothing about - something about commdity-fetishism?
