Even if this were genuine (which I very much doubt), why would they sell it? It's like trying to sell money. No one's gonna buy it for any more than it can be redeemed for, and there's no point in selling it - why not just claim it themselves?

yeah that's what i thought hence the 'hmm..'

also, why wouldn't they post a picture, not as if someone will be able to tell who they are from it and hunt them down?

Ha yeah I know, I can't believe people are bidding on it tbh. I'd be too excited to put it on ebay anyway, apply for the money straight away

It'll probably be Mayfair from a previous year. IIRC this was the common one last time round.

I freakin' hope not. I'm pretty sure I had a few Park Lanes last year!

that's actually a genius idea for a scam..........

I doubt Mayfair will be found - I can't recall a £500k winner in any of the recent McDonalds Monopoly games.

There's a 50k prize for anyone who can find someone with Mayfair, and I suspect that will also go unclaimed! See 50k if you can find Mayfair (McDonalds Monopoly 2009) for details.

Mayfair will probabaly end up with someone who won't even open it etc, I had a macdonalds the only days with 5 friends and we didn't even bother openeing the things...

"Apparently" in my lost booklet I had Mayfair, which I doubt.
I thought it was Park Lane again, but apparently according the the other half it was definitely Mayfair... I'm dubious. More wishful thinking.

The end to a very old post. My daughter was 12 in 2009. She was in the back of her mothers car returning home from Barrow-in-Furness McD's and she shouted out "Mum I've got Mayfair, we're rich". Several people in the car at that time still remember the conversation. Mum said "dont be silly Emma, there will be dozens of them, but you will never find Park Lane"
2 weeks later, they were in McD's again and got 3 park lanes between them. Realization dawned, dustbins were emptied, settees pulled apart, but it was never found.
