Have you ever had to use the toilet during an exam?

Anybody had to use the toilet due to drinking too much water or whatever they had at lunch or morning breakfast?

They say spices are'nt good for you and best avoided near exam time, anyone had an upset stomach and had to go to the toilet during an exam?

Do you get extra time?

How can you control not to urinate during the summer, especially when it is hot, you do drink alot of fluids...

Never happened to me. Once I'm in that exam room, all thought of bodily functions goes out of the window. Except that one time I had a **** (since TSR is going to blank out that word, ****) cos I finished 45 minutes early and was bored out of my mind.

Your time doesn't get extended because they expect most people to go before the exam, and to be able to last for the duration of the exam without going to the toilet.

What if your taking an AS-Level, there's 1 hour x 3 papers back to back? The break is long enough to go urinate? Or if your taking Unit 4 and 5 back to back, which last 1hr 30min each, is there a break? All in all, 3 hours in a exam hall is not easy to hold it in! lol

When we have back 2 back exams in the same slot at my school, we get a 5-10 minute breather just outside the hall and you can use toilet facilities etc in that time

I think the policy differs from centre to centre but some places have a few minutes inbetween back-to-back exams for people to go to the toilet etc.

We were not allowed a break when I had three papers in a row! It sucked, basically but we got on with it.

wtf IF YOU HAVE toilet issue, isnt it discrimination from the exam boards. Tecnically by law your allowed a toilet brake. For some people like where sometimes taking a p***s can be an issue.

I have a few times, more when I did my GCSEs than A Levels as the exams were longer. You don't get extra time which is fair.

I have never had to go out, but one of my friends did during their AS exam because he was going to be sick :s-smilie:

I went once but not to use to toilet, I just needed to go somewhere and have a panic!!

During my 3 hour exams from about 90 minutes onwards people are going to the toilet like every couple of minutes

xD Here, if you have to go, a teacher has to escort you... and basically listen if you're actually going to the bathroom or texting a friend for answers.

I've never had an exam when I haven't been to the toilet!!

And yes the examiner has to come and wait outside the cubicle. Most times they stand outside the toilets though, so tbf it would be pretty easy to have hidden a french dictionary in the toilet beforehand!!!

for one of the general studies exams half our year had been to the pub beforehand and all got drunk, i'd say about 5 people were in the toilet at any one time.

I used to follow the rule of peeing just before the exam, so i wouldn't have to go during exam time...Although in one of my last exams ever I did just get up to go to the toilet just to experience it :tongue:
