Hi! I'm looking at going to Alton Towers with my boyfriend in the summer, but I've not got much idea how to get there. I've looked at trains and things but my friend said that Liverpool Lime street do a sort of package thing for £40 including the entrance costs too? The only thing I've been able to find online is this: http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006041804082 I've no idea how to get it or anything, can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, I wanted to stay overnight but the costs of the Alton Towers hotels are really high, does anyone know anywhere I could stay that they would recommend? Thanks
Can either of you drive/would be willing to drive? Its fairly simple by road and I could give you straightforward directions as I've driven there from Stoke with some cousins?
The only package I could find is this one day organised tour direct from Liverpool for £36, but it might be cheaper if you took the train to Stoke on Trent and took one of these buses from the train station or one of these buses from the bus station to Alton towers.

No sadly we don't! It'd be so much easier if we did though! Thanks anyway.

That's great actually, because that includes admission which is 30 quid anyway I think. I looked at trains and stuff and it looked like a bit of messing around and costed more than the coach anyway. Thanks!
